Although this post is about my “tango dance bag” I generally tend to keep all of this stuff in my bag unless I am going to work (I work as a personal chef and have a separate bag for that). This is just the dance related stuff!
PLEASE NOTE THE REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE AND THINK ABOUT BRINGING YOUR OWN CUP TO MILONGAS INSTEAD OF WASTING A DISPOSABLE CUP EVERY TIME YOU DRINK WINE!!!!
If you go out 3 times a week and use a cup x 52 weeks = 156 CUPS
Say 50 people do the same. Just 50. That’s 7,800 cups a year. That’s probably a low estimate. Think about how many cups that is all over the world just from tango. I’m not saying go vegan paleo gluten free I can only eat cardboard macrobiotic. But it’s just one straw said 7 billion people.
Heels
The obvious addition. I can forget everything else on this list as long as I have my shoes.
Flat dance shoes
Just in case my ankle hurts I need to switch into flats.
Dance clothes
I generally always change into something less restricting than street clothes. Although some people can dance in pants I just don’t really like it. (Leggings are comfy though.)
Mini perfume
I keep a mini perfume in my bag for that point in the night when I’m a little too warm and gross. Perfect time to use up those perfume samples!
Makeup
I don’t know why I pack makeup to do touch ups. I never do…. I guess I like to have the option to fix my eyeliner on the right side of my face.
Clothes Tape
Ladies will understand. This tape prevents wardrobe malfunctions. Very handy.
Extra pair of contacts/ eye drops
Just in case…
Glasses
In case my eyes are too irritated from contacts.
Gum
I need my Dentyne Ice in Peppermint. I’m a gum snob. Actually I was traumatized with other mint flavors as the solution to car sickness when I was younger…
Bandaids
Just in case, when they come in handy they reeeally come in handy
Fan
Even in the dead of winter there usually comes a point in the night that I need to dig out my fan!
Foot Roller
I have two kinds of foot rollers that I use. I liked to keep this green one in my bag to use after I dance, the other one is a ball with spikes that I use at home.
Baby Powder
I carry a small bottle of baby powder in case the floor is too sticky.
Mini water bottle
There are typically plastic cups available because of wine, but I don’t want to waste plastic!
Snack
I always try to keep some kind of bar in my bag because I will be hungry at the end of the night for sure. Better than a 3am french fry run at McDonalds (my guilty pleasure)…
Cash
Tango is the reason I still carry cash.
