Sometimes All We Have Is One Dance.

How tango has taught me to be “present” not just present in my life. Because it is possible to show up without being truly there.

I suppose it is natural to want more of something that you enjoy. Another cookie, a longer massage. As humans we try to seek pleasure and avoid pain. But the reality of life is that experiences are temporary. Seasonality is what makes the good times good. However, worrying that it will end or searching for the next best thing to avoid a “low” dampens our ability to enjoy the present movement.

Sometimes we are lucky. We find someone that makes us feel like we can achieve impossible things. Even if that impossible thing is a simply the most beautiful step forward. Don’t let planning the next tanda get in the way of enjoying the present one.
