Ballet taught me that no matter how good you are, you always go back to the basics. And those basics will make you sweat if you’re giving it your all. It doesn’t get easier, you just get stronger. You work on the days your body doesn’t want to move. You work through bleeding toes, and days with bleeding hearts. Complex combinations are fun puzzles pushing you to think faster, move quicker. You manage to push yourself through yet another class because you know that “first comes sweat, then comes beauty.”
